Benefit From a Variety of Wellness Programs

Education is an important part of wellness. Coastal Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging has a large variety of wellness programs, which include our Living Well Coastal and Matter of Balance programs. They are geared towards seniors and their caregivers and are all FREE of charge, just as all of our other services are.

Living Well Coastal

This six-week, evidence-based educational program is designed for individuals with chronic ongoing health conditions like arthritis, asthma, heart, breathing, or back problems. Workshop participants meet once a week and will learn new ways to take charge of their health and manage their ongoing health conditions.
Wellness Programs

Living Well Diabetes

A six-week workshop based on a widely acclaimed program, developed by Stanford University’s Patient Education and Research Center, for individuals but designed specifically for people with Type 2 diabetes and caregivers for persons with Type 2 diabetes.

Matter of Balance

This eight-week fall prevention workshop will help attendees view falls and the fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increasing activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and promote exercise to increase strength and balance.
